About Me

It all began when my grade 5 teacher gave me a sketch book for Christmas. I slowly moved from sketching to painting. It wasn’t until my early 20’s that I realised this is a true passion of mine. Only recently have I began to take my skill more seriously. In the summer of 2012 I put my work in a gallery in Huntsville called Artisans of Muskoka. Being in this environment (both in the art gallery and in the natural world) fuelled my creative mind to use different forms of media, including wood burning, watercolours, acrylics, and soap stone among other craft forms. Creation is something I love to do.

My art has helped fund me through University as well as paid for my ticket to do exchange in Denmark. I see my art as something I can give to others and this has helped me achieve some of my dreams. My creativity is a gift I would love to share with you.

Recently, I graduated with a Master of Arts at Queens. A lot of my landscapes are from sunsets and lakes around Muskoka because this is where I grew up. I moved to Toronto in 2017 and had my first show downtown Toronto at the waterfront where I sold out twice and decided to pursue a professional art career. I find various ways to gain recognition.  I am a member of the Art Gallery of Burlington, the Fine Arts Guild, and Muskoka Arts and Crafts Association. I sell my art through these organizations and their events also.

My art brings out the beauty of the natural world and all of its creatures. I communicate this beauty through the bright colours and technique I use to catch the eye of the passer by. My artwork often finds its way into children’s rooms serving as an inspiration and a reminder of the importance of all the living things in our world. It is meant to spread positivity and change the hopes for a better future.

If you are looking for gift ideas consider one of my originals painted especially for you. I take special orders and my past clients have been amazed by my work.
